Self-taught artist with a main interest in portrait painting. After a quick sketch, I expressionistically try to reach into the inner personality and my communication of the story of the person in the portrait. I am particularly interested in the place the individual person occupies in our society and what strengths the specific person offers the community.

I always paint with oil-based paint, which, in my opinion, provides greater opportunity to work with a greater depth in the colors and its transparent layers.

I like to be inspired by other arts and have a penchant for Lucian Freud and Rembrandt's color palettes, but also Alberto Giacometti, Marc Rothko and Antony Gormley fill a lot.
